Crunch! Productions, our resident tap company, will act as an apprentice company to Jade Dance Project (resident professional company) in addition to being one of the only youth tap companies in Pennsylvania! Lumi�re Studio Company is directed by Sarah Mason and will feature contemporary and classical ballet, jazz and modern choreography. Members: Jordyn Brooks (Member) Rebekah Cattell (Rehearsal Director) Elara Sakona (Member) Tiana Sakona (Member)

 

Auditions

• When: Wednesday, May 21st, 2008
  Times: 5:00 pm Lumi�re & Lumi�re II
             6:30 pm Crunch & Crunch II
• Where: PA Academy of the Arts, 200 Old Fort Road, Potters Mills
• What to bring: Appropriate shoes (including pointe shoes for upper level ballerinas), water bottle, and a good attitude!!! Please fill out an audition packet PRIOR to auditioning. A parent will need to sign this.

• What to wear: leotard, tights or jazz pants, hair secured

Requirements
Dancers will be required to attend their 1-hour rehearsal slot once a week, plus the following:

• Lumi�re and Lumiere II: two hours of ballet or jazz technique per week
• Crunch! Productions and Crunch II: two hours of tap technique per week

Attendance
Regular attendance is crucial and not an option! Our policy will be discussed with parents at auditions and reviewed again at our first meeting. For more information, check our audition packet.

Performances
All companies will perform in each PAA production, including our Fall Broadway Connection show and the Academy Awards in May. Other possible performances include the Grier School Gala, Central PA Festival of the Arts, People's Choice Festival, Grange Fair, Dance Centre County, school assemblies, etc.

Costumes
The cost of costumes will be the responsibility of company members, however, they will not only get to keep their costumes, they will also be able to fundraise to help defray the total cost for each dancer. Each company will organize and be responsible for their own fundraisers, and they can range from car washes to bake sales to candy sales and more!
